イマトモヒロによる個展「幻想の輪郭線」が町家アートギャラリーで開催されます。

和紙と墨という独自の表現を通じ、現代社会において私たちが無意識のうちに持っている「認識の枠組み」を鋭く問い直す意欲的な展覧会です。

当たり前だと思っている日常の境界線をなぞり、新たな視点を与えてくれる作品群をぜひご高覧ください。

和紙と墨による線画を通じ、私たちが他者や社会を見る際の「認識の枠組み」をモンスターとして描き出します。

信じて疑わない「常識」や「社会システム」は本当に存在するのか、それともマボロシか。

本作では自身の眼差しを疑い、無意識に一体化している観念を輪郭線に閉じ込め、距離を置いて眺めました。

それは見えない境界線をなぞり、リアルと幻想の狭間を問い直し、今より少し自由になるための試みです。

Starting Thursday, June 18th, my solo exhibition “Contours of Illusion” will be held at Machiya Art Gallery. Through the nuances of line drawings using Washi (Japanese paper) and Sumi ink, this exhibition explores the “frameworks of recognition” through which we view others and society. 
The common sense and social systems we usually take for granted—are they truly there? Or are they merely illusions we’ve convinced ourselves exist?
This time, I questioned my very own gaze. By capturing the concepts and perceptions I had unconsciously internalized within outlines, I was able to step back and observe them from a distance. In doing so, I felt I had drawn just a little bit closer to freedom. I would be thrilled to share this feeling with all of you. 
I look forward to welcoming you with a display of paintings and copperplate prints featuring human motifs, alongside my life’s work of portraiture. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, please feel free to drop by.

1階：個展「僕たちはモンスター」
僕が大好きで、実在する大切な人たちのポートレートから始まります。しかし、善良で無害に見える僕たちは、ひとたび視点を変えれば、言語や貨幣、国家といった巨大な「共同幻想」を駆使して生きる人類＝モンスターの一員でもある。その凄まじいギャップと本質を、墨と和紙の線画で具現化しました。

2階：『どろぼうレインボウ』
「言語」をテーマにした漫画の8場面をパネル展開。負のネガティブな言葉たちが怪物化する物語の空間です。ここはのちに「ギャラリートーク」の会場にもなります。
